Resources for Mindfulness, Fitness, & Creative Writing

Hello. I'll be MIA from my blog for a wee while as I work on my PhD and travel this summer. In the meantime, I wanted to share with you my favorite resources. I am always eager to learn more and, especially, be more mindful. It's important to give yourself time to reflect on yourself and be more mindful. I work on my PhD for no more than 4 hours a day, and the rest of the day is made up of going to the gym, walking, eating, and working on my anxiety.

*If you want to be a better writer, write and read. Find authors that influence your writing style and find books with themes that you like writing about. (Make sure you don't focus on just one author, because you'll start imitating them without realizing.) Take elements of style from the writers you look up to and let them influence your own style.

For example, I love the quickness of Muriel Spark's work and I love the narrator's tone in Bret Easton Ellis's work—two very different authors but I'm influenced by the elements of both.

Thank you for supporting me and reading my blog. I'll be back soon!
